Starlight DEC 2016

In collaboration with artists from Starlight Studio and Art Gallery, Wooden Cities presented an evening of original graphic scores composed by Starlight Artists. The evening was a culmination of sessions that taught artists how to create visual works that could be interpreted by the ensemble. This program was made possible in part by the New York State Council on the Arts DEC Grant distributed through Arts Services Initiative of WNY, Inc. The event was free and open to the public.

Testimonial
"I got a lot out of the experience with Wooden Cities. For one thing I was afforded this opportunity to be able to hear the visual. That was new for me. I learned how to see further outside the box and the results, I have to say, were funky. Wooden Cities made me see upfront what the results can be when you make what can be heard from what is seen. I definitely look forward to working with Wooden Cities again in the near or distant future. Wooden Cities also showed me the music and also showed me other ways that visual arts can be made, a lot like chocolate with peanut butter so to speak."
